The Safety Committee works on community safety and beatification improvements. We work closely with the City of Tacoma and our fellow neighbors to find solutions to safety concerns. Our activities range from addressing school zone safety, traffic calming, organizing community clean ups, assisting neighbors with the Tacoma’s adopt-a-spot program, open space improvements, clean up bag pick up, right of way art implementation, and curating murals. We work closely with Public Works, Environmental Services, and Neighborhood and community Services to achieve community member and neighborhood group goals. We welcome all community members to meetings, projects, and joining us to do great community work across East Tacoma.
